When do the cohorts start and end?
Both programs potentially launch a new cohort the 2nd week of August and end of April. For a cohort to launch, we prefer a minimum of 5 people registered. Programs take one year to complete.

What do the programs cost?
The total cost is $1750 for each participant. If you pay the full amount at the time of enrollment, you receive a discount, so total cost is only $1600. If you choose to pay in 2 installments, the first $875 is due at the time of enrollment and the second installment is due 6 months into the program. This option can be helpful for churches who want to take the amount out of two different years’ budgets. Price includes both introductory and capstone retreats’ lodging and food as well as online class and cohort discussion access. Participants are responsible for retreat travel expenses as well as books for the program.
Are there scholarship funds available?
Yes! We believe money should never be the reason you aren’t educated, equipped and encouraged-so in memory of our friend Mike Yaconelli, Youth Leadership has a fund designed for those in ministry who take a look at their continuing education budget and think “there’s just no way.” Download Scholarship Form
Who do I talk to if I have questions?
Email Amy or call us at 651-484-9400. We would love to talk with you about how this program can strengthen and develop you as a leader as well as impact your current ministry context.
What’s the history and track record of the program?
Youth Leadership partnered with Luther Seminary and Bethel Seminary for over 35 years in preparing men and women for ministry leadership. We developed a core youth ministry curriculum, and have hundreds of alumni serving all over the country. We now offer this curriculum through this unique online certification program.
The newest update to Youth Leadership’s Certificate Program is its availability to those in Children’s & Family Ministry as well as Youth Ministry. We are partnered with key children’s ministry leaders in developing this Children’s Ministry Certification Program, which is the first of it’s kind in the nation. The first cohort launched August 2016.
