Equipping students for leadership, helps teens find their identity and purpose. Leadership gives students meaning and ownership while developing their gifts and skills.
One way of helping students stay connected to church throughout their teen years is by offering them opportunities for leadership–within youth ministry as well as other ministries in the church and community.
Over the course of 5 weeks, dig deep into the definition of peer leadership in your context. Wrestle with others in ministry about how to cast vision and achieve goals. Learn to think strategically about increasing responsibility and expectations in age appropriate ways. Develop a unique plan for nurturing and training the middle school, high school, and/or college students in your ministry context.
